Now the second semester has begun, if you want to do better and improve your grades before the year ends, here is what you need to do in order to start off

  • First and foremost, get your grades up to at least C’s or better. Or if you want to go higher and excel even further, you must maintain at least a B if you are willing to get an honor roll. If you have a passing grade, then you’re pretty much solid from there. However, if you have a failing grade (a D or an F), talk to your teacher and see if you can get your grade up before it’s too late, though, the best way to bring up your grades is to work on any missing assignments either on paper or on Google Classroom.

  • Second, study, study, study! Studying is the most important, yet best way to keep your head in the game and be sure you are determined to do the best you can. But there is a downside to this, if you can’t focus in class, then your grades will, and nobody wants to fail their sophomore year of high school.

  • Attend clubs. Clubs are a fun way to get to know the group a little better, and what they do. You can join clubs like: Choir, Greater than I club, BSU, AVID, Aca Deca, and a lot more. If you do not wish to join a club, then join sports like, basketball, football, cheer, swim, wrestling, softball and many more.

  • Make friends: Making friends isn’t hard, just be sure you have the right people you are with.

  • And finally, do the best you can to have a great semester here at EHS. There are a lot of things to choose from at Ike. However, this will be your only warning. This year is slowly coming to an end, make sure you get all your work done, study for your AP exams (which will be in May) and do the best you can to rock the rest of the year. Good luck to all of you and good luck to the senior class of 2025!
