Thanksgiving, the day where people show how grateful they are about the people around them. Have you ever stopped to think about how other people may celebrate the holiday? Many Eisenhower high school students have distinct backgrounds and may celebrate Thanksgiving differently from their peers generally due to religion, old-time traditions, culture, the type of family they have and many other things that lead up to them celebrating it a bit differently.
Many students during Thanksgiving stay at home and celebrate with their families. Some even have large family reunions. Some eagles shared their help around the kitchen preparing desserts and the main dishes, others engaged in family time by playing games and watching movies.
Some eagles share what type of meals they prepare and eat during the day. Some of the most popular dishes between students were Turkey, ham, tacos, tamales, posole, camphorado and soul foods.
Eisenhower eagles also celebrate Thanksgiving with their friends! Calling it Friendsgiving. Friends get together and celebrate by making potlucks of various foods, and exchanging gifts. They are other students who just like spending the whole day just eating.
All Eisenhower Students celebrate Thanksgivings and express gratitude in their own ways whether that be with family members or friends.
