Have you ever to use the restrooms during passing period? It is always packed, taking up the entire passing period not even getting to use the restroom?
Yea, I’ve experienced it too here at Eisenhower high school.
Whether it’s passing or even in the middle of the class, the restrooms are always full. As seven minutes slips by, each minute is wasted because the restroom is being used for many reasons other than the actual purpose. There’s a variety of people who go into the restroom. People who actually wait in line to use the restroom because they actually need to go, people waiting around for their friends or to meet up, people who like to eat in the restroom, and students who try to ditch class.
Every Eisenhower student has their reason why they step into the restroom.
The restroom situation occurring in Eisenhower high school represents how a simple and multifaceted student life could be. If it’s waiting in line for the restroom, hanging out with friends, or skipping a class altogether, there’s a lot of stuff going on in these restroom doors. As students continue to find a reason to spend some time there, the space in the restroom becomes harder for those who genuinely just need to use the restroom. Facing this issue creates better time management for students, even changing how breaks can transition into our schedules throughout the day. For now, the restrooms seem to serve a multi-purpose area for students to find their own reasons to step into the restroom and end up staying in there for longer.
