March 3, 2006 was the first ever World Baseball Classic. With 20 national teams and from March 3 to March 17 is the World Classic Baseball where from around the world baseball is played. The last time USA has been in the finals was 2023 and this year they have made it to the finals to take the championship.
On March 15, 2026 Team USA went against the Dominican Republic at loan Deport Park in Miami, Florida. With a strong bullpen and Paul Skenes on the mound, they beat the Dominican Republic in the semifinals 2-1. With key homeruns from Gunnar Henderson and Roman Anthony Team USA made it to the Finals. The manager, Mark DeRosa, had great pride with the team’s resilience after reaching the Finals.
Due to a star-studded lineup with dominant, high-stakes pitching, Team USA has been on fire with an overall record of 5-2. This is great for our country and whether you go for Team USA or not, it’s still a great accomplishment USA has done. Next they played against Venezuela in the Championship and even though Team USA lost, it’s safe to say that they are getting better each day and will eventually win the championship for the second time. With good a defence and a solid offence, Team USA might have more appearances in the Finals for World Classic Baseball.
